Mr. David R. Brewton

David R. Brewton is the Associate Executive Director of the East Liberty Family Health Care Center. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, he has been married to Barbara for 27 years. They have four children: Peter, Joel, Anna, and Tommy.

Dave has been a patient at the Center since it opened. As a patient, he thought that the Center was one of the best Christian ministries in the city. He felt such a spirit of genuine love, warmth, and caring that he subsequently left another Christian ministry to work for the Center. His experience as a patient inspired him to become a part of the team. He has been the chief fundraiser here for more than 12 years.

Dave believes that his abilities in fundraising are a gift from God. He loves using words (spoken and written) to cast a vision, to help people to understand the eternal significance of what we do and then to invite them to become a part of it. He also has enjoyed helping build new programs and facilities to support his co-workers' visions for what whole-person health care can truly be. Dave especially values working with such an outstanding, diverse, and talented group of people. Dave is passionate about the Center's spiritual aspect of care. To encourage the Center's un-churched patients to connect with healthy local churches, he has adopted a goal of raising $10,000 toward the Center's new Church Partnership Development program.
