Behavioral Health Services at East Liberty Family Health Care Center

Behavioral Health
Behavioral health problems such as depression, anxiety and substance abuse are among the most common and disabling health conditions worldwide, collectively robbing millions of their chance to lead healthy and productive lives.

ELFHCC Practitioners refer patients to ELFHCC's consulting Psychiatrist, Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), or the Certified Recovery/Peer Support Specialist depending on the needs of the patient and the level of behavioral health care the patient requires.

Counseling/Therapy
April Scassera—LCSW, behavioral health program coordinator—provides behavioral health counseling for adults age 18 and older at our East Liberty location.

Megan Showers—LCSW—provides behavioral health and substance abuse counseling for adults age 18 and older at our Lincoln-Lemington location

Children and teens, couples, and those who are in need of more specialized behavioral health care will be referred to professionals and/or organizations who specialize in these areas.

Consulting Psychiatrist
Dr. Sean Weldon is available for psychiatric consults and recommendations. Patients must be referred by their ELFHCC primary care physician or therapist.

Certified Recovery/Peer Support Specialist
Gordon Jenkins is available to ELFHCC patients who have drug and alcohol issues. He provides individual support, coordinated care, peer support and group support.
